61): - اگر not only کے بعد Pronoun/Noun/Verb ہو گا تو But also کے بعد بھی Pronoun/Noun/Verb ہوگا۔

 

Not only he is brave but also wise. (Incorrect)

He is not only brave but also wise. (Correct)

 

62): - "Little" مقدار کو ظاہر کرتا ہے اس لئے Uncountable اسم سے پہلے لگتا ہے۔ "Few" تعداد کو ظاہر کرتا ہے اس لئے Countable noun سے پہلے لگتا ہے۔

 

I have a few milk in the jug. (Incorrect)

I have a little milk in the jug. (Correct)

 

63): -فرق محسوس کریں۔

Few…... "قلیل تعداد، نہ ہونے کے برابر" کوئی نہیں

A Few……………………………….. چند

The Few…………………... جو چند "مخصوص"

Little  "............قلیل تعداد، نہ ہونے کے برابر" کوئی نہیں

A Little …………………………………... چند

The Little…………………………. جو تھوڑاسا "مخصوص"

 

I have few friends. (Incorrect)

I have a few friends. (Correct)

A little milk in the jug was drunk. (Incorrect)

The little milk in the jug was drunk. (Correct)

 

Scarcely/Hardly"  - :(64 " کے بعد Conjunction ہمیشہ Before/When ہو گا۔ Than یا That غلط ہو گا۔

 

He had hardly gone out than it began to rain. (Incorrect)

He had hardly gone out when it began to rain. (Correct)

 

Many  - :(65" ہمیشہ Countable اسم سے پہلے اور "Much" ہمیشہ Uncountable اسم سے پہلے لگتا ہے ۔ نیز uncountable اسم کی جمع نہیں ہوتی۔

 

Khalid drank many milk. (Incorrect)

Khalid drank much milk. (Correct)

 

66): - فرق نوٹ کریں۔

“Morning” رات بارہ بجے سے دوپہر بارہ بجے تک

“Noon” ٹھیک دوپہربارہ بجے 

“After Noon” بارہ بجے کے بعد  

“Evening” شام سے سونے تک   

“Night” رات کو بستر پر سونے کے وقت

 

We discussed the matter at night. (Incorrect)

We discussed the matter at evening. (Correct)

 

67): - جب فقرہ Present Participle سے شروع ہو تو مناسب فاعل کے سلسلے میں احتیاط ضروری ہے۔

 

Opening the book, the lesson was learnt. (Incorrect)

Opening the book, I lesson was learnt. (Correct)

 

Adverb - :(68  ہمیشہ Verb کے بعد آنا چاہیے ۔ کیونکہ وہ Verb کے بارے میں معلومات دیتاہے۔

 

He is slowly walking. (Incorrect)

He is walking slowly. (Correct)

 

69): -  "Both" کے بعد Conjunction ہمیشہ And ہوتا ہے 

 

He is both brave as well as wise. (Incorrect)

He is both brave and wise. (Correct)

 

70): -  "Although" اور Though کے بعد But یا yet کا استعمال غیر ضروری ہیں۔

 

Although he is old but he can run fast. (Incorrect)

Although he is old , he can run fast. (Correct)
